know the concepts – you have to do a lot of practice questions to get a 5 on the exam.

As a science teacher I highly recommend this book for AP chemistry

I'm a high school science teacher for 16 years. Over the years, I have used and evaluated many different test prep products (including the big name companies). I am always looking for the best resources for my students. This book is the best that I have previewed because it has great questions that are challenging but easy to understand if you are familiar with the concepts. Good selections of wrong answers (reasonable but incorrect) which really requires an understanding of AP chemistry. All topics for AP chemistry are covered. The explanations are complete and detailed so much learning occurs from reading the explanations. Several students that I suggested this book to have used it and several that did great on the ap exam. If you are a parent or a student, this is the book I recommend to study from to ace the AP chem exam. I suggest that this book can be used during the school year to learn and review concepts covered in an AP course.

This book is different than an older version my friend used last year because now there are explanations for the questions. Great book to prepare for the AP chemistry exam. Questions and explanations are excellent and targeted for the actual exam. Use this book to prep for the AP chemistry exam. Also great during the year to practice for class exams.

It's not what we do once in a while that counts, but our consistent actions. And what is the father of all action? What ultimately determines who we become and where we go in life? The answer is our decisions. It's in these moments that our destiny is shaped. More than anything else, I believe our decisions -- not the conditions of our lives -- determine our destiny.

Who would have thought that the conviction of a quiet, unassuming man -- a lawyer by trade and a pacifist by principle -- would have the power to topple a vast empire? We must commit to learning from our mistakes instead of agonizing over them, or we're destined to repeat our errors in the future. When you temporarily run aground, remember that there are no failures in life. There are only results. Consider the adage: Success is the result of good judgment, good judgment is the result of experience, and experience is often the result of bad judgment!

We all have goals, whether we know it or not. No matter what they are, they have a profound effect on our lives. Yet some of our goals, such as "I need to pay my lousy bills," lack any inspiration. The secret of unleashing your true power is setting goals that are exciting enough that they truly inspire your creativity and ignite your passion.

Right now, consciously choose your goals. Brainstorm everything worth pursuing. Then pick a goal that excites you the most, something that will get you up early and keep you up late. Assign a deadline for achieving it, and write a paragraph describing why you absolutely must attain it by then. Is it grand enough to challenge you? to push you beyond your limits? to uncover your true potential?

Have you ever bought a new outfit or car, then started spotting it everywhere? Surely it's always been around you. Why haven't you noticed it until now?

Quite simply, a portion of your brain is responsible for screening out all information except what's essential to your survival and success. So much that could help you achieve your dreams is never noticed or utilized simply because you haven't defined (taught your brain what's important!) your goals with clarity.

Once you do, however, you'll have triggered your Reticular Activating System (RAS). This part of your mind becomes like a magnet, attracting any information or opportunities that can help you achieve your goals more rapidly. Tripping this powerful neurological switch can literally transform your life in a matter of days or weeks.

GUIDELINES FOR GOAL SETTING (Programming Your RAS)

1) Commit now to spending ten minutes each day for the next four days setting goals. (NOTE: Keep a permanent record of these goals in a hardbound journal.)

2) As you work on the goal-setting exercises, constantly ask yourself, "What would I want for my life if I knew I could have it any way I wanted it? What would I do if I knew I could not fail?"

3) Have fun! Imagine that you are a kid again. You're in a department store on Christmas Eve, about to sit on Santa's lap. (Remember what this was like?) In this state of excited anticipation, nothing is too big to ask for, nothing costs too much, everything is within reach...

Persistence overshadows even talent as the most valuable resource in shaping the quality of life. After all, no one ever achieved a goal by being interested in its achievement; one must be committed. Isn't it possible that short-term "failures" may actually provide you with the necessary insights or distinctions to create even greater success in the future? Of course!

As you look back now over your "unsuccessful" attempts in the past, what have you learned? How can you use these insights to create great success, now and in the future?

1) Decide what you want. (Be precise! Clarity is power.)

I always thought highly of Anthony Robbins. He has made a big impact in my life and I am now bold enough to defend his work and talent. Giant Steps is a life changing and impressive display of his ability to inspire with a sense of purpose. If you are looking for change, then read or listen to Giant Steps. This book leaves very little room for doubt, so if you are not ready for change or growth, then do not get this book. There is no room for pity party in this audio; I would recommend audio. Anthony is someone you must listen to for yourself.

Errors in examples

If you follow along with the examples in the book, your code will not work. I had to reference online documentation and the downloadable example files in order to figure out why I was getting errors. They are either typos or outdated mistakes, but it was very frustrating trying to follow along.

It is a good overall introduction to Laravel. Unfortunately as other comments have indicated there are more than a few errors in the examples, which occasionally caused painful experiences working through them. The other issue, which is hard to fault the author for, is that in the few months since this has been released there are already significant enough differences in the 5.0 framework vs the more current 5.1 framework. Enough to make some of the examples in this book unworkable unfortunately.
